A Breath of Celtic Ayre

A patchwork presentation of traditional music from the British Isles on the Celtic harp
Tiffany Lingle grew up in a home where a love of music was instilled by a musical mother, and loved singing and playing the piano by ear from a young age. Over the years she developed a taste for the "mournfully happy" sound of the Celtic genre. She started teaching herself to play on a small folk harp purchased in 2007. It was addicting.

What started out as a whim has grown into a passion for studying and performing the traditional music of Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England on the Celtic, or lever, harp.

Tiffany enjoys arranging music and competing at the Ohio Scottish Games harp competition in the summer. Some of her other experiences include attending the Ohio Scottish Arts School for harp (hosted each year by Oberlin College), as well as performing at weddings, funerals, Irish festivals, dinner banquets and church services.

Join us as we are treated to the lilting sounds of the Celtic Harp, performed by Tiffany.  The program will be held at 7:30 PM, Wednesday, April 4, in the council chambers of Brunswick City Hall, 4095 Center Road, Brunswick.
